This is a truly wonderful and inspiring book. It is a great story for kids and also for adults who, in reality, are just kids in big bodies.
I took the story's key point as our need to recognize that underlying our surface realities are deeper, more powerful levels.
It's the quantum physics view and the Vedic India perspective of the world: there is an infinite field of power and potential beyond what our five senses perceive. Several years ago I had an idea for a way to communicate the importance of perspective. This involved the use of pictures and since I can't draw a straight line with a ruler, the effort was delayed until I could find an illustrator. While I was waiting I wrote a little story to bring the concept together. When  I lucked out and found an the most amazing  illustrator, I edited and re-edited the story and finally got the book out.
